Pops Staples remembered on 'Don't Lose This' album
THE PATRIARCH of the iconic Staple Singers, Roebuck "Pops" Staples who died in 2000, is showcased with the release of a posthumous album. In 1999 Pops recorded his final tracks but never completed them. His daughter Mavis Staples has teamed up with her collaborative partner Jeff Tweedy (who produced her albums 'You Are Not Alone' and 'One True Vine') to finish the recordings.
