New American system offers personalised children's music.
A NEW system that creates personalised children's music in retail locations recently added a Christian CD to its inventory. Mediak, a husband and wife business launched in May 2002, provides equipment to retailers that enables them to create on-the-spot CDs for customers. With two CDs available, one with general songs for children and the latest with Christian songs for children, the programme inserts the child's name into songs up to 98 times per CD. The children's personalised music CDs, with up to three lines of personalised text on the jacket cover, are then printed in about two minutes. Mediak sold some 225,000 CDs last year, said co-owner Charles Sublett, most during the Christmas season.
On the Christian version, songs include public domain tunes "Jesus Loves The Little Children", "This Little Light Of Mine" and "He's Got The Whole World In His Hands".
