Pop rockers PFR play benefit concert for seriously ill child
THE FONDLY remembered pop rock trio PFR made a surprise return to the stage on 20th November. The event was a special benefit concert for bass player and co-vocalist Patrick Andrew's two year old son, Samuel Andrew, who was diagnosed with chronic granulomatous disease (CGD), to help offset the financial costs of Samuel's recent bone marrow transplant (the only cure for CGD) and continued treatment. In addition to the benefit show, the band are planning a dozen dates or so for a series of reunion shows in 2012 to commemorate 20 years since the band first launched with their debut album, 'Pray For Rain', in 1992.

Patrick:
So sorry to read the news of this, I have been a fan of PFR for years and somehow never knew this until reading this article about your son. I pray that somehow God's love is overflowing over your family and to your son, especially!! The last I heard was of the recent decision of PFR to end. This may or may not have been part of the reason, however, I will be in prayer for you!! My deepest sincere and heartfelt pain for your son, may God pour his mercy and grace upon you in abundance.
