John Ringhofer of Half-Handed Cloud speaks about his faith.
THE INSTRUMENTAL artist Half-Handed Cloud, otherwise known as John Ringhofer and who plays the Omnichord, a vintage synthesiser/drum machine/auto harp invented in the '80s, spoke recently about his Christian faith. Ringhofer told HM magazine, "There's a lot to rejoice about but I wouldn't necessarily consider Half-Handed Cloud 'happy music.' I hope it's a bit more realistic than that. Of course, joy is in there quite a bit but any kind of seeking after the Creator (or an opening of ourselves to be found by him) is obviously going to be filled with a lot of mystery." Half-Handed Cloud's early albums have been released in the UK while Ringhofer describes the band's latest 'Halos & Lassos' as "more focussed and integrated."
