Huw Edwards joins cast of Welsh revival musical Amazing Grace.

THE HIGHLY regarded anchor man of the BBC 6 o'clock News, Huw Edwards has joined the cast of the Mal Pope penned musical Amazing Grace. Said Pope, "Who better to round up a story told by a turn-of-the-century journalist than the most famous journalist in Britain, Llangennech-born Huw Edwards?"

The musical, which opened in Swansea on 25th March, is based on events surrounding the 1904 Welsh Revival. Peter Karrie stars in the production, which continues at the Sherman Theatre, Cardiff, 5th - 9th April and Theatre Clwyd, Mold, 12th - 16th April. Songs from the musical will be featured on a new Mal Pope album 'Why Me?' to be released soon. CR
