Stryper welcome bass man Perry Richardson to their lineup
MULTI-PLATINUM rock band Stryper have announced that bass player Perry Richardson has joined the band. He joins original members Michael Sweet, Robert Sweet and Oz Fox and becomes only the third player to fill the slot in the band's 34 year career. Richardson is best known as a founding member of the multi-Platinum band Firehouse and since departing that band has remained active touring with artists like Trace Adkins and Craig Morgan. Said Richardson, "The first time I met the guys in Stryper was in 1985 when my first band Maxx Warrior opened for them in Charlotte, North Carolina. From that first meeting they have always been one of my favourite bands and a huge influence on me personally and musically. To have the honour of becoming a member of Stryper today is an indescribable experience for me. . . I'm so looking forward to being a part of this next chapter in Stryper's legacy." The new lineup band are currently in preproduction on their upcoming album due for release in 2018 by Frontiers Music SRL.
