Two more albums by The Blind Boys Of Alabama to be rereleased in expanded editions
OMNIVORE Records are re-issuing two albums by The Blind Boys Of Alabama, 2003's Christmas project 'Go Tell It On The Mountain' and 2005's 'Atom Bomb' (which included guests Charlie Musselwhite and Billy Preston) in expanded editions. The new version of 'Go Tell It On The Mountain' features two new live recordings made at the Beacon Theatre in New York while the 'Atom Bomb' edition features several previously unissued instrumental versions of key tracks from the album. Earlier this year Omnivore released expanded versions of The Blind Boys' 2001 album 'Spirit Of The Century' and 2002's 'Higher Ground'.
