Ex-Kirk Franklin man Charmaine weighs in with hard hitting single
PICKING up US airplay is the first single by Charmaine following her 10 years as backing singer with Kirk Franklin. "Preacher Man (ftg Princess)" was produced by Blac Elvis (Beyonce, Ciara) and co-produced by Charmaine's husband Tario Broome and is described as "a cross between spoken word and hip-hop." "Preacher Man" addresses what the singer calls "the common misrepresentations in the Church." She said, "Church nowadays is divided up into $20, $50 and $100 tithing lines while lives are leaving the Church broken in pocket and spirit. I am concerned with the conditions of today's Church but I hope I can help others facing the same situations."
