Michael W Smith talks about 'It's A Wonderful Christmas' project
CCM STAR Michael W Smith spoke about his 20th studio album 'It's A Wonderful Christmas'. Said Smith, "It's so big and symphonic. It feels like you're going to get to the end of the record and you'll want to see the movie. It sounds like a soundtrack." In recording 'It's A Wonderful Christmas' Michael enlisted orchestra leader David Hamilton who had previously worked with Smith on his instrumental album 'Freedom' and has also toured with the star. The album also features a 100-voice choir, a 16-member London boy's choir directed by John Tobin and a 67-piece orchestra recorded at London's Abbey Road studios. Also featured on the album is the song "Christmas Day" where Smith duets with Mandisa, who has just registered at number one on America's Christian music charts with her debut album.
