Welsh songsmith Martyn Joseph gets much praise for latest album 'Deep Blue'.
WELSH SINGER/SONGWRITER Martyn Joseph has been picking up numerous accolades for his latest album 'Deep Blue' released on Joseph's own Pipe Records. Q magazine called him "one of acoustic music's most original voices and most forward looking of his generation of singer/songwriters." Third Day magazine wrote that the album is "more of a full band sound than anything since the Sony days." The songs on the project include a denouncement of the imperial Christianity of the Bush administration "How Did We End Up Here?", a tribute to Paul Robeson and his support of Welsh miners "Proud Valley Boy" and a version of the Larry Norman classic "Six Sixty Six".
