One time R&B star Margie Joseph returns with gospel album.

ANOTHER major figure in '70s soul music, Margie Joseph, has returned to the scene with a gospel album. Margie's 'Latter Rain' is released on Sistahpraise Records in February. The project includes renditions of "Walk Around Heaven" and Mahalia Jackson's "Movin' Up A Little Higher" as well as urban gospel tracks. The album was produced in Atlanta, Georgia by Dale Ramsey. Margie scored major R&B hits with the Paul McCartney song "My Love" (1974), "What's Come Over Me" (with vocal group Blue Magic, 1975), "Hear The Words, Feel The Feeling" (1976) and "Knockout" (1982).

Margie spoke about her return to gospel music, "I have revered God and have been a Christian all of my life and I am only being obedient to him. I look at a world that is almost hopeless and in despair. I think we all need to do many random acts of kindness as well as edify our brothers and sisters in the word of God. It's so important that people realise there's no one else to trust but God."
