radioMal Pope enjoys success with musical Amazing Grace, readies Contender
WELSH singer/songwriter Mal Pope reports that plans are under way to take his musical about the Welsh Revival Amazing Grace further afield than the Welsh theatres where it has been a big success. In the meantime Amazing Grace's first schools production is planned for later in the year.
Pope's new musical Contender, based on the life of boxer Tommy Farr
who rose from Rhondda Valley poverty to become heavyweight champion of
the world in 1937, will shortly open at Swansea Grand Theatre. Tickets

Could you please let me know where your musical Amazing Grace will be staged next.
County Durham, among other parts of the U.K. , have a lot of "pit villages". The church I am part of is in County Durham in a former pit village. Also if this musical is released on DVD please let me know.
