Four-CD box set released of vintage Mahalia Jackson recordings

MAINSTREAM specialist label Proper, who in the UK have released numerous box sets of jazz and blues acts, recently issued a four-CD box set of one of the legends of gospel music, Mahalia Jackson. The set 'Come To Jesus' features the majority of the singer's recordings made for the Apollo label in the '40s and '50s. CR
