Martin Smith produces latest Tim Hughes album at his Rustington studio
IN WHAT is being tipped as being one of the best selling Christian music albums of the year, Kingsway have announced that the new Tim Hughes album 'Love Shine Through' will be released on 21st March. The project is produced by one time Delirious? man Martin Smith and features collaborations with numerous writers including Ben Cantelon, Nick Herbert, Nikki Fletcher, Stu G and Smith himself. Musicians included on the project, recorded at Martin Smith's home studio in Rustington and mastered at the famed Abbey Road studios, include members of the Rend Collective Experiment, Jesus Culture's Kim Walker-Smith, Verra Cruz's Marc James, Hillsong United's Michael Guy Chislet, Girls Aloud's Jerry Brown, David Grant and Faye Simpson.
Commented Tim, "It's full of songs about belief, faith, rising up, taking a stand. I feel like we're on the cusp of a fresh move with worship. In some ways it feels like we've got a bit stale, maybe we're in danger of settling on a formula in congregational worship. There's been a great challenge of late for pursuing excellence in production, visuals, lights and a bigger use of creativity, which I love. My only fear is that we miss the raw, mess, spirit-led type of worship that leads people to engage with God."
