BBC Radio 1 recordings of After The Fire made available on CD
VETERAN rock band After The Fire are celebrated in a new album to be released in June. The project is a collection of tracks recorded at the BBC Radio 1 In Concert shows in 1979, 1980 and 1981. Read a press release, "These sessions are testament to the skill of the BBC crews as they were recorded and mixed totally live with no subsequent post production. In fact you can hear the sound and mix get better as each show progresses. And, of course, sometimes the keyboards are too loud, vocals too quiet and so on, I think it adds to the authenticity of the moment! Another interesting aspect is to hear how some of the songs developed over time along with the difference twixt Ivor's powerhouse and PK's precision approach to the drumming. Many of you will be delighted to hear 'A Little Sun, A Little Rain' once again, too!"
