Steven Curtis Chapman and Chris Tomlin support human rights agency IJM.

AMERICAN singer/songwriters Steven Curtis Chapman and Chris Tomlin debuted a song they have recently written about the work of International Justice Mission (IJM) at an event in Nashville, Tennessee, in December. The two musicians performed the song "Let Justice Roll" at a benefit organised by human rights group IJM to draw attention to victims of oppression around the world.

In his keynote address, IJM president Gary Haugen said, "Tonight has just confirmed what we believed all along - that people in this community care abut the hurting and want to do something to help." Haugen described several victims of oppression IJM has worked to free in recent months. He told the story of a 70 year old man named Narakalapa who was held as a bonded slave his entire life. This IJM secured his release, along with his children and grandchildren and dozens of other slaves.
