US pop rockers 7eventh Time Down talk about latest single

US CCM hitmakers 7eventh Time Down have spoken about their latest single "Lean On". Said the band's Mikey Howard, "We had been on tour for weeks while we were writing our record 'God Is On The Move'. We had one last song to write, and honestly, I just wanted to be home. I had only seen my wife and kids through a phone screen and in that moment, I wanted to quit everything and just be a husband and father. I remember walking into the writing session and saying I was done. I didn't have anything left in me. Cliff (our bass player) and our friend Jason both felt the same way. After hearing that I thought, 'Great! What a waste of time!' Our only hope was to lean into God for a song. The one thread that wove our whole conversation together was being spent and exhausted, and we realized humanity might be just as tired as we were. When we decided to lean on the Lord for a song that day, we placed what little we had left in his hands, and this beautiful song about God's relentless pursuit of our hearts and lives was created."
