Maranatha! causes controversy by release of album credited to Late Late Service
A CONTROVERSY has erupted over the release of an American alternative worship album, 'Dry Bones Dancing', credited to Late Late Service. The album, on Maranatha! Music, features vocals from the likes of Chris Lizotte, Jaime Eichler and Peter Shambrook.
The Late Late Service is the well-known name utilised by a pioneering alternative worship grouping based in Glasgow. Said Charlie Irvine, a member of the Late Late Service committee and a co-owner of Sticky Music who release the Late Late Service albums, "I faxed Maranatha! Music in the States two months ago when I found out about their intention to release this album, gently pointing out that we were on our fourth CD with the name. There clearly could be confusion having two Late Late Services. Maranatha! didn't even give me the courtesy of a reply."
