Memphis' Kim Hill returns with new folk-rock album

ONE OF THE most popular CCM stars of the '90s Kim Hill returns with a new album. 'Broken Things' will be released in the US on 26th September by 33rd Street Records. Hill recorded 'Broken Things' in her hometown of Memphis, Tennessee with the award winning producer Paul Ebersold (Third Day, Sister Hazel). Hill co-wrote five of the 11 songs on the new album and she personally asked some of Christian music's premiere artists/songwriters to also contribute songs for the project. As a result, Mark Lee of Third Day penned with Marc Byrd "Lover Of My Soul" and with Rodney Clawson "Deeper", Margaret Becker co-wrote with Hill, "Wide", Jill Phillips "Blame Somebody Else", Andy Gullahorn contributed two songs "You Don't Belong Here" and with Chad Cates "Here Inside Of Me", and Kate Miner wrote the closing number "Just The Same". The project returns Hill to her folk-rock roots and is reminiscent of her 1991 Grammy nominated CD, 'Brave Heart'. CR
