Blue-eyed soulman Jon Gibson releases 'Soulful Hymns' album
THE VOCALIST often acknowledged as Christendom's finest blue-eyed soul
singer, Jon Gibson,
has made a surprise return Stateside with his album 'Soulful Hymns'.
The album, which contains versions of classics like "Amazing Grace",
"Great Is Thy Faithfulness" and "Lord, I Lift Your Name On High", has
been released in the States by his own label based in Irvine,
California, Imagery Records. Said Gibson about the project, "I have
signed 60 agreements in my life, good and bad. They all pass
eventually. This is the first time when I've made a product and didn't
have to deal with any communication problems. On my past records, I
can hear my struggles with the labels, but not on this one. Having my
own label is total creative freedom."
