New musical Hopes And Dreams promoted to British churches in February and March

A NEW MUSICAL set to tour during the celebrations for the millennium devised by the Rob Frost Team, which includes new music by Graham Kendrick and Paul Field, was successfully promoted to British churches in February and March. The musical, called Hopes And Dreams, follows the previously successful projects by the team such as Jubilate!, Burning Questions, Gospel End and Break Bread.

Paul Field, the composer, said, "The diverse range of musical styles will make Hopes And Dreams manageable, whether it is tackled by a citywide group of churches or the congregation of a single village chapel. It will have a 'pick and mix' menu, so that church groups can do the whole show or just parts of it."

The February/March tour will show churches how to produce the tour. It is hoped that at least 40,000 people will share in these celebrations. After the tour, local churches can take the drama and music and adapt it for their own situation at any time during the millennium year. The organisers hope that there will be at least 500 presentations of Hopes And Dreams during this special year of celebration.

Producer Rob Frost explained. "Hopes And Dreams is a way of involving the whole community in marking the millennium! It's a seventy-minute music and drama presentation about new hope for the world, based on the words of the Lord's Prayer. There is a significant role for children and we hope that many local schools will also get involved."
