Last Christmas I got "Homemade Jazz Hymns" from a friend in London, and it is my favorite CD, I have played it over and over again. My english is not good enough to explain or find rhe right words, but "elegant" may be one of them. This is my church music! Yes, it's true - I can not stand organ music, so I use my MP3-player in church when this terrible organ-noise starts. In this, my wife say I am like a stubborn teen-age (I am 69!)
Now, in my old age, I have got a strange "hobby", I sometimes work as a busdriver. When I drive, I always play "Homemade Jazz Hymns" on the CD-player, loudspeakers right behind my back. And I sometimes can see passengers move up front to the seat next to me. "It is so difficult to hear back there", they say. When I tell them "this is my Church music", i sometimes get the answer "If we had this music in our church, I would go to church too"
I could tell you much more, but writing english is not that easy (how many spelling errors do I have so far?)
But the main ting is to tell you - Watts & Brett - that you have a fan in Norway! And if (when?) you make more like this, I hope I can manage to get it!
