Chicago youth choir Joshua's Troop sign with New Haven Records.
NASHVILLE's New Haven Records have announced the signing of Joshua's Troop. Originating from Chicago, Joshua's Troop are a youth choir of 30 young people aged between 16 and 22 years. They blend urban and hip-hop music with contemporary gospel. Said Ken Harding, president of New Haven, "Currently in gospel music there seems to be a void of youth choirs creating music for youth. As soon as I heard Joshua's Troop, I knew they could fill that void. The songs are great and they are vocally mature. Combined with their energetic live show, Joshua's Troop have the ability to connect with people of all ages."

MY DAUGHTER & HER FRIEND JOINED THE GROUP LAST YEAR. THIS IS THE BEST THING THEY EVER DONE. THEY ARE SO EXCITED ABOUT BEING A PART OF JUSHUA'S TROOP. THIS IS A VERY POSTIVE THING AND I LOVE THE SONGS AND THE GROUP. I GIVE PERCY GRAY 5 STARS. I GO TO REHEASALS AND TO ALL THE CONCERTS. THE RECORDING ON JULY 28, 2006 WAS THE BOMB. PERCY GRAY IS DOING A WONDERFUL JOB WITH OUR KIDS AND I HOPE THIS GROUP CONTINUES TO GO TO THE TOP. I AM LOOKING FORWARD TO SEEING THEM ON THE BET AWARD OR ON THE GOSPEL CHANNEL.
