Israel Houghton, Third Day, Donnie McClurkin pick up Grammy Awards
THE GOSPEL and Christian sections of the most prestigious of all the mainstream music awards, the Grammies, were announced on Sunday 31st January at the awards ceremony at the Staples Centre, Los Angeles. The winners were: Gospel Performance: Donnie McClurkin featuring Karen Clark Sheard, "Wait On The Lord"; Gospel Song: written by Erica Campbell, Tina Campbell and Warryn Campbell, "God In Me"; Rock or Rap Gospel Album: Third Day, 'Live Revelations'; Pop/Contemporary Gospel Album: Israel Houghton, 'The Power Of One'; Southern/Country/Bluegrass Gospel Album: Jason Crabb, 'Jason Crabb'; Traditional Gospel Album: Bill Hearn, Ken Levitan, Ken Pennell, Jack Rovner and Cedric Thompson, producers, 'Oh Happy Day'; Contemporary R&B Gospel Album: Heather Headley, 'Audience Of One'.
