THE 48th annual Grammy Awards took place on 8th February in Los Angeles. The winners in the Christian music section of the Awards were as follows: Best Gospel Performance: CeCe Winans, "Pray" (from 'Purified'); Best Gospel Song (songwriter award): Yolanda Adams, James Harris III, Terry Lewis, James Q Wright, "Be Blessed" (from Yolanda Adams' 'Day By Day'); Best Rock Gospel Album: Audio Adrenaline, 'Until My Heart Caves In'; Best Pop/Contemporary Gospel Album: Casting Crowns, 'Lifesong'; Best Southern, Country or Bluegrass Gospel Album: Amy Grant, 'Rock Of Ages...Hymns & Faith'; Best Traditional Soul Gospel Album: Donnie McClurkin, 'Psalms, Hymns & Spiritual Songs'; Best Contemporary Soul Gospel Album: CeCe Winans, 'Purified'; Best Gospel Choir Or Chorus Album: Gladys Knight, choir director/Saints Unified Voices, 'One Voice'.
