London Community Gospel Choir set to release "crossover album"

AN EAGERLY awaited new album by Britain's top gospel choir, the London Community Gospel Choir, will be released on 29th March. Recorded at the famed Abbey Road Studios and at Air Studios, 'Glorious' is described as "the choir's first crossover album". Pop songs on the project include the Beatles' "Let It Be", Leonard Cohen's "Hallelujah" and U2's "One" as well as brand new recordings of such Christian favourites as "Amazing Grace", "Abide With Me" and "Swing Low, Sweet Chariot". Said LCGC's founder Rev Bazil Meade, "The choir performs to audiences around the world and, as well as singing pure gospel music, the performances include a broader range of musical styles. After more than two years of planning, we believe that this album reflects their live shows and their wonderful ability to present this glorious music without limitations." CR
