Word UK launch new label Focus

WORD UK have announced the launch of Focus, "A new label home for some of the best contemporary Christian music in the UK and Europe today." The first three acts released on the label are Britain's RiverDeep and Phatfish and Norway's Salvation Street. All three acts performed at a label launch in Milton Keynes on 31st August.

Shelley Needham, who is music manager for Word UK, is heading up this new label and feels confident in its future. "I am expecting great things from this new label. Like the name emphasis we plan on focusing on some great bands. With the amount of product out there on the shelves as well as so many new artists it can be hard to make an impact. I believe the key is to be focused on a few and invest into a whole package." CR
