Serious worries about the health of vicar and rock singer Geoff Mann.
THE CONDITION of rock artist and vicar Geoff Mann has worsened since he was allowed home after treatment for Crohn's disease (Cross Currents, CR 12). Further tests have shown Geoff to be suffering from cancer of the colon and as we go to press chemotherapy treatment is continuing at hospital where he has been now for several months. Geoff had moved from his curacy at Breighmut Bolton to be Vicar at St Luke's, Rochdale only two days before being rushed into hospital. Marrion Labrow, a friend of the rock-vicar, told Cross Rhythms that "Geoff has had a very tough time, but he has lately perked up a bit". Doctors are continuing chemotherapy. Readers can write to Geoff at St Luke's Vicarage, 9 Deeplish Road, Rochdale, Lancashire OL11 1NY.
