UCB allowed to broadcast in former USSR
UNITED CHRISTIAN BROADCASTERS, the radio station which has pioneered Christian satellite broadcasting throughout Europe, has been granted two international frequencies by the Russian Government - the last of their propaganda frequencies covering the whole of Britain and Ireland. Both are powerful frequencies, one on Medium Wave and one on Long Wave. With the frequencies UCB will be able to split their radio station to cater for the under 30s and the over 30s. It has yet to be decided in which European country to site transmitters but UCB are looking to cover the whole of England, Scotland, Wales, the Isle Of Man and Ireland (north and south). In the meantime UCB will continue to broadcast to Europe on the Astra Satellite.
UCB currently broadcasts 24 hours a day on the Astra Satellite, Sky
Sports channel, audio frequency 7.56 MHz (rebroadcast in parts of
Ireland on AM and FM). With a format of 70 per cent contemporary
Christian music and 30 per cent spoken features, programmes include
the Cross Rhythms Experience and the Cross Rhythms Inspiration.
