Manchild, Wit & Dre Murray, theBREAX on free EP
SEVERAL well known American rappers have joined forces to contribute to a free EP to promote racial healing. Manchild, Wit & Dre Murray, theBREAX and Heath McNease are all showcased on the 'HipHop & JR College' project. Said Greg "Manchild" Owens, best known for his work with Atlanta duo Mars ILL, "To be honest, hip-hop started as a black and Latino art form, and I'm as white as white gets. For the song 'Cover Up', I touched on what race relations looked like growing up in a small southern town, and how basketball and hip-hop opened the doors to befriending all kinds of people." An ebook of the same title by broadcaster Seth Tower Hurd is about to be published.
