Prayer and music event for North London in May
AROUND 2,500 young people will gather on the slopes of London's Alexandra Palace in May for a prayer and music event. Firestorm, to be held on 24th May, will offer a concert featuring such acts as Raymond & Co, Unwritten and Watchman and a major prayer celebration for North London. Other activities in the afternoon will include a skate park, ice-skating, climbing wall, bungie runs and jousting arenas. One of the speakers at the event, Phil Kingham, director of n:flame, said, "North London is currently submerging under a wave of violent crime and crumbling moral values. Our aim is to present young people with both the problem and Jesus' solution -the Kingdom of God." Firestorm is part of the work of n:flame, in partnership with the Haringey Peace Alliance, YFC and Crusaders. It is an early initiative leading up to the Soul In The City mission to London in 2004.
