British worship leader Phil Lawson Johnston writes The Song Of The Father's Heart book.

WORSHIP leader and composer of such songs as "Jesus Is The Name We Honour" Phil Lawson Johnston has written a book. The Song Of The Father's Heart is published by Terra Nova Publications. Said the musician/author, "For 30 years I have been enjoying the glorious activity of worship. It has been a journey of exploration, discovery and excitement, punctuated by moments of frustration and exasperation! In this book I have attempted to put down on paper my ideas and experiences. I think of my contribution as the musings of a wandering minstrel and therefore, as I usually find it easier to express what I think and feel in melody and poetry, I have illustrated many of the themes with my own songs. I have found it useful and enjoyable to study and follow certain themes through the Bible as they relate to worship, so as to increase my vision of what God is looking for, so some of the chapters are scriptural essays on different aspects of worship." CR
