Meltdown 2022 teach-in event cancelled
THE METAL and rock teach-in event Meltdown has become a casualty in Britain's current financial crisis. The weekend event, which was due to be held in Northants from 11th to 13th November featuring Poland's Poitinmeski band and speaker Ted Bruun, has had to be cancelled.
Said Meltdown's founder Dave Williams, "The Lord has impressed upon us that the ministry needs to go back to its roots and also to expand by taking in other genres and art forms. We planned to make Meltdown 2022 the last of the current style residential weekends. However due to the very difficult financial crisis in the country bookings for the 2022 event are very low. We have spoken to many people who wish to attend which would have taken our booking to a really good number but finance is stopping them. We are sorry that we have had to cancel MD this year but we really do feel that this is what the Lord would have us do."
