Singer/songwriter Rob Halligan releases first solo album.
THE EAGERLY awaited solo debut album by Midlands singer/songwriter Rob Halligan will be released independently in October. 'Dancing With Seagulls' was produced by Simon Goodall and features songs some of which were inspired by the death of Rob's father, who was working in the USA, in the 9/11 tragedy. Halligan, who also leads the rock band Goldsmiths, admits to being influenced "by everyone from Jeff Buckley to Wes King." In November Halligan will be flying to New York where Emmy Award winning Siberian Films will be shooting a video of Rob's song, "Streets Of This Town", from the album. Also appearing in the video will be Rob's American namesake Rob Halligan, who leads the band Ceili Rain.
