Lins Honeyman releases 'The Secret Diary Of A Tunesmith Vol 2'
SINGER, songwriter, broadcaster and journalist Lins Honeyman is set to release on 4th April 'The Secret Diary Of A Tunesmith Vol 2'. Said Honeyman, "Back in 2012, I was invited to join an online songwriting collective called Tunesmiths in a move that would stretch me musically and stylistically. The premise behind Tunesmiths is that, roughly on a monthly basis, each member should write and record a piece on a different but predetermined theme or genre. For example, one month the challenge could be to write a waltz, the next to write a TV theme tune and so on. In 2014, I released the first volume of songs generated by the Tunesmiths challenges and, a year and a bit down the line, a second batch of disparate tunes are ready for consumption. Many instruments were used for the recordings including ones like drums, accordion and bass which took me out of my comfort zone whilst quirkier instruments like the Monotron make an appearance as well as things that aren't really instruments at all - cutlery and colouring pens, for example."
