Bookings taken for Devon festival
CROSS RHYTHMS annual music, arts and ministry festival held at Okehampton, Devon has announced its initial set of bookings. The bill for Cross Rhythms '97: Walk The Talk on July 11th to 13th will include author and speaker Brennan Manning, black gospel choir IDMC, Irish indie band Halcyon Days, R&B duo Danny B & Natasha, Celtic roots worship team Nuffsed, new trip hop team Psalmistry and modern rock unit Seven. Also booked are Bible teachers Tom Brock from the USA and Louis Ells from South Africa.
Brennan Manning is well known for his books like The Ragamuffin Gospel and for his spiritual association with DC Talk who sampled a fragment of the one-time Catholic priest their 'Jesus Freak' album.
London-based IDMC are currently recording their second album which, according to choir director John Fisher, will be "in a modern Sounds Of Blackness groove
