Billy Ray Cyrus leads the way in upturn of popularity in country gospel.
AN UNEXPECTED number of country-orientated albums are currently showing on America's Top Christian Albums chart published in Billboard. The Billy Ray Cyrus album 'The Other Side' debuted at number five making it the second highest debut for a country artist in the history of the chart. Cyrus joins Randy Travis, whose 'Rise And Shine' is still in the top 20. Other country acts who've appeared recently in the chart include Cristy Lane, the Oakridge Boys and Dolly Parton.
