US rock band Willard Grant Conspiracy release 'There But For The Grace Of God'.
AMERICAN band Willard Grant Conspiracy, who have a strong US Christian rock following, have a new release in the UK mainstream. 'There But For The Grace Of God' is a short history of Willard Grant Conspiracy's nine year/five album career and features unreleased tracks and songs ("Child's Prayer", Evening Mass") from their classic albums. Released by Loose, the CD has remastered songs from their albums '3am Sunday At Fortunes Otto's' and 'Regard The End' and also contains extensive notes from singer/songwriter Robert Fisher and Paul Austin on each song.
Band founder Robert Fisher said in a recent internet interview that he had been raised a "pretty strong Baptist" and although he didn't go to church he did have a spiritual side to his life. He said, "I think I was always aware of a spiritual nature of the world, even when I was at my worst in terms of drugs and alcohol. But I reformed my association with the spiritual side of things when I got clean, and developed an understanding of how to relate to God."
