AN OUTPOURING of monetary gifts substantially reduced the money owed for medical bills incurred prior to the heart attack death of singer/songwriter Mark Heard in Chicago last year. As we go to press Heard's widow Janet is several thousand dollars in debt however Janet Heard has been struggling to pay hospital bills totalling 30,000 dollars. In response to her plight a major concert was staged in Nashville on 9th January. Artists performing live versions of Heard compositions included Phil Keaggy, Chagall Guevara, Charlie Peacock, Giant, Ashley Cleveland and Randy Stonehill.
