Cheryl "Coko" Clemons signs with Artemis Gospel Records.
ONE THIRD of the hitmaking R&B group of the '90s SWV, Cheryl "Coko" Clemons has re-emerged as a gospel singer. Cheryl has signed with Artemis Gospel Records. Said Coko, who with SWV enjoyed such hits as "Men In Black" with Will Smith, "I never left the church. I've always been active in my church despite my profession in R&B music. Church was more than a breeding ground for me to sing, it's where I nurture my soul. It's a lifestyle for me." Coko's Artemis Gospel project is tentatively scheduled for a summer release and she will be working with top producers Warryn Campbell, Rodney Jerkins and J Moss.
