Delirious? invited by SPCK to play Liverpool Cathedral in January.

BRITAIN'S premier Christian rock band Delirious? are to play their first ever concert in a cathedral in January. The oldest Anglican missionary agency, the Society for the Promotion of Christian Knowledge (SPCK), have asked Delirious? to play at Liverpool Cathedral on 31st January 2004. Sam Dawson, who runs the SPCK Bookshop in Liverpool Cathedral, is "thrilled to have this opportunity to work in partnership with Delirious? and the Cathedral to spread the Christian message." This event breaks new ground for SPCK Bookshops and is symbolic of the radical new approach to mission being undertaken. SPCK's media development manager, Julian Scott, is working on several more exciting events of this type for 2004. Approximately 3,500 people will attend the event.
