Echo release album of gospelisations of classic soul songs
THE EAST London and Essex retro soul band Echo have released the album 'Bought Not Souled' through Plankton Records. In 2012 the band decided to combine their love of classic Motown and soul music by slightly adapting the words of some timeless soul songs originally recorded by such acts as Stevie Wonder, Aretha Franklin, the Emotions, Sister Sledge, Fontella Bass and others. Echo have been performing their songs in churches, streets, parks, pubs and theatres. 'Bought Not Souled' was produced by Greg Nash.
