Charlie Daniels releases bluegrass gospel album.

POPULAR country singer Charlie Daniels has released an album of bluegrass gospel songs on his latest CD, 'Songs From The Longleaf Pines' on Blue Hat/Koch. The album is Daniels' 45th release in a career spanning four decades. He said, "To me, no music does a better job of conveying old-time religion than bluegrass. Its simplicity and honest sound speaks to me of woods and fields, streams and valleys and little white church houses where the faithful come to worship God in spirit and truth." Joining Daniels on the release are Ricky Skaggs, The Whites, Rob and Ronnie McCoury, Mac Wiseman and Earl Scruggs. CR
