Playlisted singer/songwriter Sarah Reeves talks about new "Anxious" single
NASHVILLE-based singer/songwriter Sarah Reeves spoke about her new single "Anxious" which was released yesterday. "Songwriting is a way I express myself putting my emotions to lyrics and melodies. It's therapy to me in a way. This particular season I guess I let it all out in this song. I wasn't planning on releasing it as my single, but the more I shared it with close friends, the more I realized it's something I needed to put out in the world. Early this year, I experienced anxiety more than I ever have before. I couldn't always articulate why or what triggered it, but fear would come over me and it was crippling. It was a fear of failing, fear of not being good enough, fear of people not liking me. . .just fear, panic and lies. I would isolate myself and let my mind become the devil's playground. I don't consider myself an anxious person, but I had a taste of what so many people battle daily. The first step to healing is confession. This is a confession song. If you're someone who struggles with anxiety and depression, I pray you can acknowledge these lies and know that you can and will overcome it! This world can be a nasty place, but don't let the negativity rule you. I hope this song can bring healing and help you know that you are not alone."

My daughter has been running away from the Lord for some reason. It’s been a good 6 months now. We have been praying for her and pleading on her behalf and praying the lord will make this rebellion a short lived experience for her. She heard this song on the radio here in Mobile on Power 88 Wednesday night. She immediately had her friend Shazam the song to see who it was and the name of the song. She has been listening to it constantly since then. We see the conviction of the Holy Spirit all over her. We see her changing. We see her yielding. This song was used by the Lord to reach deep into her core and bring out what she has been dealing with for so long.
