The Hoppers celebrate 50th anniversary with 'The Ride'
THE FIRST release on Word Entertainment's reactivated Canaan Records will be 'The Ride' by The Hoppers. The veteran family group recently celebrated their 50th year of music ministry. The Southern gospel label, set up in 1965, was the original home for The Hoppers. Said Dean Hopper, "This gives me hope that this could be the third big surge in our music now that we have somebody like Word who is reactivating one of the greatest vaults in our business."

Your new CD is great. Great songs and great sound. My favorite expression for a long time has been "it is never a surprise to God". I was so surprised to hear a song about it, that I think it is one of my favorite songs. We replay it over and over. Also, your young daughter and granddaughter is so sweet singing. I hope you continue to use her more. What a sweet spirit and talent the whole group has.
