11th Cross Rhythms Festival defies all obstacles

IN WHAT one organiser called "the most spiritually powerful Cross Rhythms so far," the 11th Cross Rhythms festival overcame Foot & Mouth crisis threats of closure and continual rain showers on the opening day to register an event living up to this year's title Breakthrough. Evidence of the spiritual breakthroughs experienced by the 2,500 people attending the festival held at Risdon Farm, Okehampton, Devon on 20th to 22nd July were dozens of people of every age who went forward to give their testimony at the final evening celebration. The whole session - music, ministry and testimony - was recorded on audio and video and plans are now underway to release what an organiser described as" a programme God put together" on a double CD and video.

The Cross Rhythms festival's co-ordinator Jonathan Bellamy said about the event, "The theme Breakthrough was given to us by God 20 months ago and has been intrinsic to the season Cross Rhythms has been going through. We truly felt at the festival however that something had broken through - that not only had we crossed over into a different land' but that our experience was in step with a strategy of God in our nation to raise a people with the courage, passion and perseverance to stand, fight and reclaim the spiritual land of our nation. It's time we took back the land God would give as our inheritance."
