80 year celebration on latest album by The Blackwood Brothers
VETERAN Southern gospel harmonisers The Blackwood Brothers celebrate one of the longest-running histories in popular music with the release, through Daywind Records, of the project 'Forever: 80th Anniversary Album'. The group today consists of manager and baritone singer Billy Blackwood, lead singer Michael Helwig, tenor Wayne Little and bass Butch Owens. The album features a guest appearance of The Oak Ridge Boys. Said Billy Blackwood, "I have never been so excited about the potential of one of our records. The bottom line is that we have a message and a mandate to share the story of God's love and his plan for people. We believe these songs are a vehicle to get that message to a greater audience than ever before."
