IN AN EXPANSION of Cross Rhythms' Friends Of Cross Rhythms scheme whereby supporters are asked to make a regular financial contribution to fund sponsored programming radio time on ILR stations, Cornerstone House have now launched the 500 Club. Said Chris Cole, "With the Cross Rhythms Experience proving its effectiveness in the radio station market place of Devon coupled with the programmes now being up on satellite - so that they may be pulled down by any terrestrial station - Cross Rhythms has a unique opportunity to vastly expand its listenership. We have available to us the opportunity to go on a further 20 ILR stations throughout Britain. This sponsorship opportunity for 104 hourly programmes over two years will cost £70,000 and would enable us to reach 500,000 people every week in the UK.
"To pay for this sponsored radio time we need 500 supporters of the
Cross Rhythms ministry to commit to a regular monthly contribution of
£5.00. We are calling this new initiative the 500 Club. The concept
was launched at this year's Cross Rhythms festival and we are trusting
the Lord that many people will take up the challenge to actively
support Christian music ministry in the UK."
