Cross Rhythms reviewer TOM LENNIE remembers his first Christian music purchases and names his favourites

The first three Christian albums I bought were 'For Him Who Has Ears To Hear' by Keith Green, 'If You Can't Shout Saved! You'll Have To Face The Penalty' by Ishmael United and 'Saved' by Bob Dylan. The latter caused quite a stir at the time. Two of my all time favourites are the hauntingly beautiful 'Back Home' by Caedmon's Call and 'Myself When I Am Real' by Bebo Norman. If you haven't heard him, Bebo sings meaningful acoustic folk pop. Then there's the best Christmas album in the world, 'Joy' by Ed Cash, Allen Levi and Bebo Norman. But if I had to choose just one, I'd go for a classic set by Canada's Steve Bell. His 'Romantics & Mystics' is a gem and a profound and moving collection.
