Even in the midst of intense trial for Job, he did not point the finger, or blame God. He could quite easily have done so, but he chose not to.

Job 1:1 says, 'There was a man in the land of Uz, whose name was Job; and that man was blameless and upright, and one who feared God and shunned evil'.

Job was by no means a perfect man, but his daily life demonstrated that he was a man after God's own heart.

I'm sure that in our lifetime we've pointed the finger at God, but how long does it take until we will point the finger at ourselves?

Where the MOT for our cars are important for their safety and road worthiness, so too is our spiritual MOT as it will determine the way we walk.

God wants the best for us, but do we want the best of ourselves? If we want the best of ourselves, God will certainly have to search areas of our lives that require our attention for personal road worthiness.

Maybe today some of us need to make that all important request of God, 'Search me O Lord'. CR
